Lore: The Last Bastion of Midgard

From the end of the world to the defense of Aesirion

The Ragnarok

The Ragnarok — the twilight of gods and worlds — has already passed. The continents of Midgard were shattered, swallowed by fire, ice, and void. Civilizations fell. Kingdoms vanished. Even the gods retreated into silence.

What remains of the world is fragmented — broken lands drifting in a hostile sea of chaos.

Aesirion, the Last Bastion

Amid the ruins of the old world stands Aesirion, an ancient city built long before the Age of Gods, by a forgotten race whose name has been lost to time.

The city lies on a small surviving continent, spared from total destruction by unknown means. Towering stonework, impossible architecture, and dormant mechanisms still protect its foundations.

The Legacy of the Ancients

Aesirion was not built to conquer — but to endure. Its walls were forged to resist divine calamities, and its core was designed to anchor reality itself.

Though the builders are gone, their legacy remains. The city still stands… but its defenses are no longer complete.

The Invasions

Since the fall of Midgard, enemy forces have emerged from the fractured realms — remnants of gods, corrupted entities, creatures born from the chaos of Ragnarok.

These invaders seek to claim Aesirion, for whoever controls the last bastion may decide the fate of what remains of the world.

The Defenders of Aesirion

The surviving inhabitants — warriors, scholars, and exiles from shattered lands — have united to defend the city at all costs.

They train relentlessly, reinforce ancient defenses, and launch counterattacks beyond the walls, knowing that if Aesirion falls, nothing will remain.

The Call of the Gjallahorn

When the threat grew too great, the Gjallahorn was sounded once more. Its call echoed across broken realms, awakening souls bound by destiny.

Drawn to Aesirion, these warriors rise again to stand against the darkness — not to save the old world, but to protect what still survives.

Aesirion stands. The last walls hold. Answer the call — and defend the final light of Midgard.
