City Funds — A Living Economy

Every single Zeny spent — whether buying items from NPCs or using their services — is automatically transferred into a shared treasury known as the City Funds.

These funds are not lost; they are reinvested into the development of Prontera. At the end of each season (around 3 months), players on the official Gjallahorn Discord can vote on how these funds will be used: building new instances, creating dungeons, adding new items, and more — all implemented in-game by the developers.

Defend the Treasury

However, wealth brings danger. During invasion events, Prontera itself can be attacked. If the defenders fail to protect the city, the invaders will seize part of the City Funds as a bribe — a heavy loss for all citizens.

The survival of the city — and its prosperity — depends on the courage of its adventurers.
